      GN motor isnt any better than an L32 motor. And i cant get this one in the 10's for 8 grand.

      motor = 1200
      transmission = 1500
      hptuners = 500
      stand-a-lone = 3000

      thats 6k and we havent even bought a turbo kit.

        LOL I bet a camaro with a running used 3.8L v6 is faster then a camaro with a blown 3.8L v6 in it.

              here is roughly my price list:
              motor, trans, computer, wiring - 1700
              engine rebuild - 800
              bigger turbo - 300
              built tranny - 800
              better torque converter 500
              new computer chip - 100
              new 50 lb. injectors - 300
              huge front mount IC - 600
              custom length driveshaft - 100
              new aluminum radiator - 200

              That is $5400 and im sure i can come up with the rest if you really want all the nickel and dime stuff. my next 2 grand is going to be having the heads ported, bigger cam, bigger valves, and a re-stalled torque converter. I ran a 12.1 on my current combo, and that was with the clutches in the tranny slipping, and launching with 1-2psi boost. new combo i should be able to launch with around 5-10 psi and have it shifting firm.

              what the he|| is a LE2?? never heard of that before

                      damn that sucks.
                      get a junkyard motor. start building that thing up or just swap them yourself.
                      it's not that expensive if you just do it yourself (compared to replacing the car or paying a shop to fix it)

                          i think he has a gn pcm. you have to have chips burnt for it IIRC.

                            ahh i didnt know he transfered the pcm. in that case you dont need a standalone, so that must be nice.

                              Yea i am using the GN PCM, so no tuning software is required, i kinda wish i had a way to tune it myself though that way i could know that my car was 100% perfect. i only dyno'd it once last year on 18 psi boost and it made 277 rwhp and 350 rwtq. that was on a mustang dyno (-15%) and i had a lose converter that wasn't locking up at that time, so the real numbers were probably like 350 hp and 400 tq.

                              $3,000 for tuning software sucks ba||s. for that price i would have switched all my sensors over and put a ford computer on there and then had a SCT dealer tune it. I am probably going to be doing this to my car sometime in the near future :)

                                Thanks guys for the input.....

                                i decided against the swap, too much of a hassle. I decided on selling the 6er, unfortunately and staying away from the fbody scene for awhile. Then possibly picking up an old school camaro. I'm looking at this '78 Vette thats for sale for $5500.

                                I have a borla catback, bilstein revolvers, and an eaton differential if anyone is interested before i throw them up forsale.

                                :wavey:
