Aside from all this swap. How on earth did you blow your engine.

It's not very easy to blow a 3800 engine. Remember that post about a guy who emptied out the oil, coolant and so on. He tried blowing up the engine but he couldn't.

3800 is a very strong engine. I know guys with Buick who already have over 300k with no problem with the engine at all.

I don't see it blowing up that easily.

My motor blew at 110K and I keep extremely good maintenance on it, oil every 2500 miles and T-5/differential fluid changed every 15k. I was driving home doing 65 in 5th gear around 2,000 RPMS and I stared hearing a click click click that eventually turned into an extremely loud knocking, babied it home and by the time I got in the driveway....boom. The reason his engine blew is because its an american made part, which is junk. Get a honda and call it good :banana:

yea...3800II is a piece of ****...thats why it was on Ward's Top 10 Engines of the 20th century for 3 years...yep your right the 3.8 blows ***
