So, those of you that religiously check the site know that i began the rebuild on my truck's 2.2L motor a couple weeks back. well, everythings all done and i'm well into my break-in period now (sorry, no pics... my friends camera took a big ol' crap and died). I'm sooo very happy right now. I dont have to mash the gas pedal to get it to start, it idles at least 200 rpms lower than it did b4 (i dunno fer sure, its a manual but doesnt have a tach ) and overall the motor runs sooo smoothly its hard to believe its even the same motor. All i gotta figure out are the electrical problems with the HVAC and turn signals and it'll be ready for the road.
And this is the beginning for the camaro too, cuz now that i got a reliable car that'll last me till i graduate (about 3-4 more years *sigh*) i can take the camaro outta commission for a while and build the motor for boost. speaking of boost, i know turbo vs. super has been beaten to death, but do FFF kits have as much fitment problems as they've been made out to have? i wanna buy my kit from someone on this site, but i wanna make sure that it'll fit w/o too much of a problem. If i cant find a decent kit i'll go powerdyne on this beotch. I just want a turbo cuz i wanna be able to run 3 psi street and be able to turn the wastegate dial and go to 15 psi for racin'...
