Anyone one on here able to do a simple background check on someone, just to see if they have been convicted of any violent crimes. Every site I go to wants a subscription or money, or if they are free they are so vague. Anyone able to help? I don't know if this is legal to ask....

If you really want a back ground check on someone , you will need to have them go down and get finger printed& consent to the background check. Then they can be submitted to the F.B.I database. This is the way most police agencies do it, it verifies who the person is and also if any crimes have been committed in that state or any other. some states may be different. but here in WI we have a site that you can search for a person and it lists all their criminal activity. either misdimeanors (sp), blah blah blah. how much tickets were for, open/closed case, etc..

No crazy girlfriend....however, it is a really long story it has to do with this somewhat odd person I have had to deal with multiple times, each time showing a higher prevalence towards severely violent ways.Comment

Try searching your county public records. I've looked up a few people with just a license plate #. They also have a court records search and can pull up anything. Hope that helps.
