can you trust auto auctions?

a friend of mine found 4 LS1 camaro cop cars at an auto auction, and im pretty much ready to go pick one up... there anything i should really be worried about when it comes to these cars? i know mileage, but for the price of em, i dont think you can get a much better deal

basically, cop cars are just run ragged every day, but i do like the b4c option...:naughty: they may have some excessive noise in the rear end (i know a mechanic who has 3 in his shop now for that)

Go for it .......... they are built tough........if it was a highway patrol then it's all highway miles ...........i can run carfax if you want but i don't think any accident will show up ...........good luck

My brother bought a Lumina cop car at auction - fast as hell. Beefed suspension, tuned motor. Had a big sticker on the frame the said "POLICE VEHICLE".

Great price. He put some 80K on the clock before selling it. No major problems.

I have one of those at Target...yep, they come in a 10 pack with 9 other police vehicles. :banana:

Im from the SW suburbs of chicago, and I know Illinois State Police drives the camaro's.. I see them all the time on I-80 , I-55 etc.

They are mainly highway vehicles, with high mileage..

And i dont know about those, but it seems like whenever I see the interior of a police car or undercover car like that, they arent in very good condition ( torn seats, worn carpet, scratches and holes in the dash from the police console, gun belts etc...

yeah im not really too worried about the condition of it, the interior problems never really bothered me too much. i was more worried about the car not running or something along those lines.
