  • If you have it, why not use it?

    Thats what I ask...

Why not use something you have.?

Tonight in class, my instructor is telling us his life story, and showing pictures of his family and previous careers as a drag bike builder and crew chief.

he starts to show us on power point all of his cars and previous motorcycles and his toys..

Well, turns out he has two boats...

-One of them is a race boat, really low profile with the twin pontoons, and two 468CI race motors.. that he converted to Fuel injection using the mega squirt system..
he had lots of pictures and video clips.. it was so fast, and extremely loud...

So he said the last time he had it in the water was 7 years ago. WTF?

    The other

    - A similar type of boat with a jet engine. HOLY SH!T
he had about a 5 minute video clip of this boat, it was insane... took a while to spool up but once it was there he did a few go arounds in the river, and then he did a few crazy donuts...
The acceleration this damn boat had was retarded... absolutley sick..
....and he hasnt had it in the water for 3 years. WTF?

    Use that sh!t!!!

I dont know how ppl do it, if i have something sweet like that id go any chance i got!

Maybe he doesn't have time anymore? Or maybe that doesn't intrest him anymore... who knows. You're right tho, why buy something if you're not gonna use it? And if you're not using it, then why keep it? Sell it to someone who would hump a yeti for somethign that sick.

        Find me a Yeti.

Dad has always said "If I have it, Im gunna drive it" Sure, any vehicles he has is no show car, but rain sure as hell isnt gunna stop him from driving, about the only thing that keeps him from driving his toys, is ice/snow.

Even if he doesnt drive it, id still show it...

but how can you have such a bad arse toy and not play with it?

He has time... and if it doesnt interest him.. sell it, im sure it could be worth alot of money!

Its his stuff, he can do what he wants with it. If he wants to buy something just to have it sit there, so be it. Let him waste his money. All though if i had those things i'd drive the hell out of them :naughty:

Any of those boats happen to look similar to this?

Re: If you have it, why not use it?

sort of like that, without the cab and wing..

it was really low profile to the water with the pontoon looking things but not exactly like that...

I searched on the web trying to find a picture of a similar looking boat but no luck..

Maybe he got the boats back when you could open those things up on the water. Most of the lakes and rivers around here are idle only. Damn greenpiece and their gotta save the manatees. Now you would have to go off shore for anything like those kind of boats.

Oh gosh, tell that to Jay Leno. The man has over 300 exotic cars and supercars and he just won't stop.

I remember Mr. Jenkins, karate instructor, he has Bandit TA with 6.5 engine. He only uses it like twice or 3 x a year and he mostly takes it to car show.

I tell you, that black TA is beautiful, everything mint condition.

Besides, F-cars and Vettes were not meant only for young people they're for all people. Besides, if I turn 60 I don't want to be driving a Lincoln or a Caddy...No Way!!
