I saw one show on Speed Channel that Jay Leno got out one of his steam cars and drove around in that with the host. He drives his cars, maybe not all of them, but that steam car has to be worth alot, and to take it out on the roads like he was heading to the store was cool.

Oh gosh, tell that to Jay Leno. The man has over 300 exotic cars and supercars and he just won't stop.
Yea.. well he's crazy. And i guess its a collection.... you know, how some people collect stamps.

Besides, F-cars and Vettes were not meant only for young people they're for all people. Besides, if I turn 60 I don't want to be driving a Lincoln or a Caddy...No Way!!
Really? I do. If i'm 60 i've got a 50ft long Lincoln Continental or Cadillac DeVille from the 70s. Or better yet: a '72 Buick Riviera

But I never understood the "baby it so the next buyer gets a sweet car to enjoy" complex.
buy it, run it hard, break it, fix it, run it hard, break it, fix it, then when it becomes a financial burden, sell it and start over :naughty:
anyone want to buy a used car from me?:naughty:
PS my dad I guess is sort of midlife crisis, he has a C5, he runs it, I mean he is still responsible so doesn't get too crazy in it, but he gets on it, and is a slightly aggressive driver. But then again, he had my camaros before me, so he has had sports cars since 94. Just since his kids are starting to be less of a burden he can upgrade.

This depends on what is it though. If the car is rare and parts are impossible to find, then I'd be last apt to drive it all the time. All it takes is one soccer Mom chatting on her cell phone late for a hair appt to smash your baby to pieces. Sure insurance will give you the money, but if you can't find the parts, you can't find them.
