me too, me too. My name is Austin Evans.

personally, reading this post, the article seems pretty crappy. you might have done the v6 community some justice if you didn't let the project get rushed and basically smashed into the mud with using a g-tech on a highway to judge 1/4 mile times. big punch in the gut. O' wait, aren't those two the same thing?

Please keep this discussion mature for the sake of the site. I'm going to edit some of the posts here, so please don't take offense. You can get your point across without name-calling and insults. If it gets out of hand, myself or another mod will end up locking this. Have a good one! :)

                    Re: Camaro Performers Magazine

We swapped a few emails back and forth and settled some emotions. We went back and forth on the article. He said it wasnt built for the track, only for street performance. I cleared up some misconceptions about the power/speed potential of the 3.8 fbody while he stated his intentions for the car were strictly for street performance, but even for the street you'd still need LSD and at least some performance tires.

Do I hate Hib Halverson? No.

Do I still think the car isnt to full potential and should've/could've been done a lot differently? Yes.

Do I like the article? No.

Do I like the magazine? Eh, not really.

All in all, Hib is an okay guy, but I'm still not crazy about the outcome or the article itself due to the fact that the quarter times are not legit and the car could be running much faster with cheaper parts.

He did say he'd meet me for a race when I get to Cali though

                        Re: Camaro Performers Magazine

Well, I thought it was great that Camaro Performers were even featuring a V6. I kept looking in the following issues hoping to see more progress on the car.

I think we should try to turn things into a positive and send letters and pictures to get some type of publicity and promote MORE articles on the V6's. We have cars on this site that are faster (and look better) than some of the V8's that they feature. It'd be great to show them what we have! Just get some beautiful pics together with nice backgrounds (along with a list of mods and well-written letter) and submit them! :work:

Here is what the magazine says:
Manuscripts must be typewritten on white paper, and all photographs must be accompanied by captions. Photo model releases required on all persons in photos.
                        Mail contributions to:

They finally do some writing in that magazine about a v6, and this is how we show our gratitude. :wavey:

Its nice to see that some of us are trying to turn this into a positive thing.

Id LOVE to see another v6 project in the future.
