            Re: Best way to Drift

            OK, I wasn't going to dignify it with a response originally, but stripes on a 'Maro is definitely NOT ricer. I've seen very many nice looking f-bodies (and other very non-ricey domestics for that matter) with stripes. I used to have stripes on my car, and if I wasn't so sick of the vinyl staining I would still have stripes. They look badass. Sorry, but just because something isn't your taste doesn't automatically make it "rice."

            Shodown, I like your stripes, and even if I didn't, that doesn't mean I should (or would) make an unrelated statement insulting what you've done with your car. Kristen has a very good looking car as well.

            The original Camaros had stripes stock, the 35th Anniversary SS has stripes stock, and to be honest I don't see a lot of imports with stripes. Imports have "Audiobahn" or "Greddy" written on the hood more than racing stripes. They have more of a thing for wings. Racing stripes are OLD SCHOOL AMERICAN MUSCLE, and there's evidence in history to prove it. People had Camaros with racing stripes before Hondas or Toyotas were popular, and WAY before anyone ever used the term "rice" or "ricer."

            Stripes=ricer=inaccurate and ignorant statement.

                You're welcome, just thought I'd use the opportunity to give a deserved and positive statement and discredit the stripe-haters. :)

                        Re: Best way to Drift

                        Actually the term Rice means a car from Japan. As in "Rice Burner" as if the cars run off of rice like the people that make them. So if its from japan its a Ricer if its from America or Europ its not.

                          Ricers are majority Jap cars, but there certainly many caes of domestic rice. Here are two examples:

                          I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

                              Unless the body kits or paint was made in Japan then its still not a ricer. That first pick would be called "Getto" and that second one looks better than the stock neon which looks about as good as a Dodge shadow...no wait thats an EVO that looks like a gay Shadow.

                                actually its not wheat. its corn. who cares about ricers, let them be the laughing stocks of the car world.

                                like i said, drifting isnt my cup of tea, but to each their own, none the less its still pretty neat to watch. the gto did pwn all in the one event i watched. :tup:
