manuals weaker? wtf? yes our manuals are weaker, but not overall. Are you trying to say a T56 is weaker then a 460Le? wtf, your just being dumb by saying that.

manuals have better gearing
manuals have less drivetrain loss
manuals have a "variable stall" so you can launch how and at what RPM you want
Manuals have built in shift kits(you control shift speed)
Manuals usually cheaper to repair
Manuals you have better control over gas mileage, and fuel injector cutoff on engine braking.
Manuals you have better control, when, how, how hard the car shifts(very important on a road course or in a corner)

Autos Cost roughly minimum a $1k if you have a problem
Autos You have to spend $600-1k to get the performance of a manual(stall, shift kit)
-then you have decreased driveability(neck breaking shifts around town)


I guess Autos you don't have to shift when in traffic. Boohoo... tampons also prevent bleeding out of your cooch.

Didnt think this was a hot subject, I agree with the post above 100%. Im not trying to say that autos suck, its just that if im gonna spend some money on a car, I want it to be exactly what I want. Seems like every car i find is fully loaded with a auto, or t-tops with an auto. I guess it makes sense, if its gonna be loaded might as well have the auto, its just most "performance" cars have a stick.

I just prefer them and its frustrating that 95% of them are autos. Except the ones that I find with 250K miles. Or totaled.

the auto in my maro has been great...obviously not preferable for a road course and what not...but it treated me right throughout the years....I dont even consider it difficult to drive the stick in my caddy though..most of the time it's 2-3-6....wow 3 shifts......and as per Fbody3400 Im gonna go shove my stick up someone *** now ;)
