  • :( Dangit...

I just put my tailight covers on today... and apparantly one of them flew off on the highway on my way to school!

Did you open the hatch before you put them on. I had a buddy in Germany loose one because it wasn't on all the way. You have to have the hatch open to get that top lip all the way over the tail light.

Note to self... Hide tail light covers next photo shoot with StrtRacer98.

I was told that they cant come off if the hatch is shut but thats b.s.

and it also seems like yours fit alot better on your car, rob.. than mine did.

Yeah, mine are GTS. I had mine up to 113 and they stayed on.

Sorry you lost it. Did you retrace your tracks and see if it survived?

I always have trouble with the bottom of my right taillight cover sliping off while driving. It ends up sliding to the side but it has never came all the way off. I'm thinking of mabey getting some 3m double sided tape or something to keep it to stay put.

I put mine on with double sided foam tape and they've never even budged after over a year.

                    Re: :( Dangit...

mine come off if hatch is down or up, but wind should never hit them so no matter how fast they shouldn't come off unless they are not snapped on correctly. I've thought of using the double sided tape just incase, but i take them off when cleaning the car. Good luck finding another one.

You said should. :) On the Camaros the rear lights just wrap around the side just a little, you can see where if they weren't on all the way, air could get under the blackout and aide in taking it off.

I had some GTS taillight covers, I gave them away cuz they wouldnt stay on
id look in the mirror on the freeway and it would be bouncing in the breeze
                        hated them
and the headlight covers made it too hard to see at night
