    this isnt ME, so it doesnt relate exactly, but my dad refuses to owe anyone money, so all of our cars, and our house have all been bought cash.

    i have no interest in being in the nicest, biggest house, and would much rather just be in a smaller one but be able to buy it cash.

        Heres another radical idea. Pay the credit card off each month. Then bank in on all the flyer miles all the while still maintaining some type of credit history.

        It's good to have a credit card in case of emergencies too. Carrying cash isn't always the best idea.
