Since 2002 was the 35th anniversary of the camaro were all the 02 camaro's the anniversary edition?

I'm asking because i have an 02 that says 35th Anniversary Camaro right above the radio. However, the 02 Z28 that I am looking at does not say that. If they all had the Anniversary emblem then i know that the z28 is not an 02 model.

I'm guessing that not all the 02's had the anniversary edition, but if they did I could point that out to the dealer and get some money off the price

The tenth letter of the VIN should tell you the cars birthday. However, I can't seem to find the letters for 98-02 only 93-97.

Hmm, I thought all the 2002s came with the 35th on the dash. Check the VIN and see what it says. The 10th digit is the model year. Anyone know what the 2002 letter is? My info only goes up to 98.

Edit... you beat me to it. LOL

They may have replaced it, I replaced mine with a new 35th plate because mine faded out.

It should say the year of the car on the tail light

Yeah, i car faxed it, its a 99. Kind of a blower cause it looked like a real nice price for an 02. I'll ask the dealer whats the deal tomorrow. It was on autotrader so they may have just messed it up.

Maybe if the year was off. But they put that it was a 35th and stuff, that's a diff story. I'd be weary about dealing with them if that's the case. But since you did the carfax, you probably know more about the car than they do anyway. LOL. Well more than they want you to know.

It's along the bottom edge, but after going to check mine, I found that I have a 93 Camaro, not a 95. I don't think you can rely on the taillight manufacture date as the year of the car. VIN or the sticker on the door is more better.

                          NO

And 2002 Camaro owners who think their car is just because it is a 2002 are lame.

ALL 2002's mark the 35th anniversary of the Camaro, hence the badge. It's a nice little addition to the interior of the car. VERY  However, the SS is considered to be the actual anniversary edition model.
