so ever since I was a kid, I always knew my great-great grandpa was an automobile inventor, so I did some research, and it turned out he owned Detroit Electric, which was an electric car company from the early to mid 20th century... I guess Detroit Electric was also owned by Thomas Edision and Rockefeller Jr...if only it would have stayed in business life would have been a lot different...
so I guess a love for cars runs in my blood...i thought it was neat, it's not everyday you find something like this out about you family history
My grandfather had his on hardware store and fixed everything from tvs to cars. His 3 friends asked him to join there business with them, so he was a manager at there store. They asked him to be a partner and he said no, because he thought he was gonna be drafted. The 3 guys started the business

yea i guess they were competeting against porsche and studebaker in the electric car market...what i would be driving if only they made it like those two companies
my grandfather was original co-owner with his dad and some others of Massey-Harris, and Massey-Ferguson farm equipment.. Tractors and Combines n' whatnot..
They owned a chain of dealerships way back when......
