I actually heard that on MXC, they introduced someone as a plasma donor for big screen TV's....I thought it was funny....

so anyway what is the difference of donating blood, or plasma? same thing - or no??

I got paid for my services many yrs ago (94~95 or so), and was like $15~$20 a withdraw then. Still have the scar(s) on my arm from where they'd poke. Needles don't hurt too bad, jsut don't bend you r elbow while it's in. We got food, drinks, and movie whle oyu wait for the process to finish.

from my understanding its like giving double platelets or something. they draw your blood out.. do something with it and circulate it back in... that could be wrong.. but thats what i thought it was..

does anyone know why they take plasma anyway? what good is it

i donated before, they prick your finger to take a blood iron sample, which kinda hurt. Then they ask you (not joking) close to 100 questions about stds and heart crap. Then i think this is what i did. they pump the blood out of you into a machine, the machine seperates the different blood cells, then the machine puts like room temp blood back into you. feels kinda weird and cool. Then later you are really cold and need a blanky and some hot coco.
oh and make sure you go pee before they start cause i had to hold it for like a half hour
