1. It seems to me they should have given you a warning once befire towing you on the first day of he new sign.
2. Although you indicate nobody had a problem where you parked, it seems obvious that this must have been some sort of problem somehow or else there would be no need for a "no parking" sign. What is this spot? It does not sound like it is a standard-issue parking space.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

Well I went to the housing office and and pled my case. I told them how messed up it was not to give any of the residents any sort of warning for the No Parking signs and that towing the car as a first offense was really harsh. I told them that MANY of the residents were also VERY unhappy (because it happened to them too in different parking spots).
She told me that the signs had been there for 10 days and I told her I just got back in town (which is the 100% truth, I stayed at my parents place an hour or so south of Omaha for xmas break) and I had no idea about them. She said they have the signs cuz its very hard for snow plows to get thru some areas of the parking lot which is true, I could see why they dont want people parking in those spots anymore, but I just told her that they handled the situation very poorly. She said that some of the other people who got towed didnt have to pay any fees to get their vehicle back so in turn I said I want my money back as well, she then said she would look into it and probably just compensate me thru the rent for a month and I said that would be just fine by me.
Conversation started kinda heated, I could tell I wasnt the first one to rant about it lol. But by the end she was cool and so was I. As long as I get my money back and my car wasnt damaged....no harm no foul :)
Good that you're getting your money back on it, and no damage to the car. :)

I'm waiting for my car to get towed right now. My parking pass for work expired to park in certain spots, but I'm still parking there anyway. I'm still waiting for the supervisors to issue me a new permit. It's been like 2 weeks... and I get as a reply is "they're in a meeting." Well if my car gets towed ya know I wont be coming to work anymore.
cool... you have to be the luckiest guy in the world... last time I had problems with my apartment complex(sprinklers not adjusted and hosing cars) and kept *****ing about it till they woudl fix it.
They just start issueing me noise complaints, eveb ib weekends I was out of town on my apartment and "losing" my rent check.
I had to fight them on all of that crap.
Before you think I am pissy for the sprinklers the sprinklers get water from a lake, but the lake is manmade and the drainoff for the parking lots. I washed/waxed my car, 2 weeks later I had water spots all over it, and it took me 4 hours to get the spots off(god knows what chemicals it was)
I asked the to adjust them, a sprinkler in front of my car woudl spray on my rear hatch. They said they did, when they clearly didn't and claimed its the winds fault.
So I just put on a pair of boots and at night when the sprinklers ran, kicked all the heads off, until it lost pressure. then repeated everytime the replaced them.

I dont think you are pissy at all, you had a right to be mad. I would be too.
