It's just going to get to a point where it's ridiculous. You can only have so much HP.

trying to pick up the pieces... ford doesn't plan to become profitable again until 2009. they put down every american asset on the line to borrow $23 billion.
if gm and chrysler are competing for king of the hill status, ford should steer clear and find an easier market. they kept setting emissions and fuel efficiency goals that were never met - maybe they have a warehouse full of festivas that never moved.
i'm guessing they're waiting for the government to really push for cleaner vehicles. then ford can live off of subsidies much like a crackhead on welfare.

its still JUST a corvette. id rather have a viper or ferrari thats like .2 seconds slower anyday

granted i love and would kill for a corvette.

They don't make the GT anymore.

Corvette getting into a horsepower battle with a V10 seems pointless. The vette puts power to the ground both in a straight line and the curves and that's what matters. A vette will also never have the status of an exotic to normal people like a viper can.

there's a 3800 running around with a kenne bell blowzilla and 534 whp - on a v6! i believe the most powerful m90/112 car is only putting out 420 whp. i hope tom wallace isn't pinching a few pennies for a $100k car. blowzilla builds boost faster, and is ~50% more efficient (thermodynamically) than the eatons.

bad drivers = disaster. regardless of hp. i see more crashed civics than any other make.

If it is horsepower wars..... Mercedes has been up there for a while.... 604 HP and 738 TQ with the "65" AMG cars for the past couple years.

But, sheer all out perf etc, C6 Z06 has it and I doubt the viper will beat it.

Yea, but nobody cares what those foreign cars can do cuz its well known that the Italians and the Germans are into witchcraft and alchemy. Besides, they were the Axis of evil 65 years ago... or has everyone forgotten already? :stp:
