It's Hollywood!! They can do anything, even if it's wrong. They're just hoping everyone gets so involved with the action, that nobody notices. I even hear mistakes and use of foley engineers on "Worlds Wildest Police Chases" - like tire squeal on dirt, and noises you cant hear from the chopper in the air with the camera. It's all entertaining though. I heard somewhere that the producers of "Dukes of Hazzard" totaled more than 75 1969 Chargers for that show.
Tokyo Drift: Maybe I am wrong on this one, but I remember the incomplete Mustang not haveing paint, yet after being waxed, it shines up new; with racing stripes. On the same subject; they put the Nissan motor in the mustang because he has no Drift cars left for the big race. They seem to build that car in 1 night; all the people helping him with the car have their own drift cars; why didn't he use one of theirs?
More about that mustang: So apparently during production the movie company actually did swap a Skyline engine (can't remember all those stupid numbers and letters... its like a license plate or something) into a mustang, but found out that it didn't have enough power to do the kind of drifting they wanted. So ironically they went and got another mustang with the stock V8 which could do the job.

Oh and... no matter how fast your going or how hard your supposedly racing you can always push the pedal down farther if you need to.

this isnt really a mistake, well sort of. But in the first movie the girl, cant remember her name is walking into a room with the main dude and she totally jacks her elbow on the desk and just keeps walking like nothing happend. I dont know, no one ever notices that. I havent seen these movies in forever but I remember being entertained. They are dumb as hell though. None of that **** can happen, but how many movies are realistic anymore. Hardly any.
