yea, and it took a procharger to do it...do the same to the V8, and you'll have quite a roll reversal.

I think both of yall missed the point. Yea, V6's can be fast, but V8's will be faster...the V6 record is like 11.8? Yea, I know of a cam/heads LT1 that can do that on 3.23 gears, no less

i think everyone knows that v8's are faster then v6's, some people just prefer a v6, or can only afford a v6, like me

You can pull a 12 second pass in a v6 fbody and have everyone but the completely ignorant at a track look at you with respect... or you can run a 12 second pass in a v8 fbody and still be "the slow guy"

bolt on record for lt1s is low 11s. i get what youre saying though. the comparison is not there mod for mod.

i say just enjoy what you have and be happy with it.

hate to tell ya, the majority of cars at the track typically daily driven are 12 second cars. 12s might not be impressive for a v8, but in no way is that considered slow.

No, UDLOSE did it NA with bolt on.

He's yet to install the Turbo.

Other than Performance, everything else is all pluses for the V6. Better gas mileage, better insurance, handles better, and it's little bit more reliable than a V8.

I was going to trade my V6 for an TA when I first had it that year. But I crashed my V6 because I wasn't respecting after that crash I've learned to love it and swore to keep it for life.

You know my uncle has 7 vettes. From the 60's - 70's, ZR1, LT4, C5...each of those vette never satified. He's always looking for a new crop of Vette. I think one of the reason why he's divorce and broke is because of that.

Just learn to love what you have. And you know what, they'll always be something better out there.

LOL - When you get older, people take the other approach, asking:

                            "You bought a CAMARO?"

Implying that you're not being a practical, responsible, environmentally-correct citizen, by daring to buy a sports car that surely must just guzzle gas.

To which I can proudly reply "It's okay - I got the V-6."

                            ...D@mn tree huggers!

No**** When I picked up 00 Bird my friends asked if I was having a mid life crisis or something. I tell them that it looks great, fun to drive and gets 30MPG. As for the 2 teenage kids...thats why I got my wife a new truck.

                                Excuse me?

There were months I spent more time under my car than driving it. I've cut more than a full second off my stock 1/4 ET just by scratching the surface. I intend to go much further, as well. I've been thru good times, bad times, and everything in between. I've gone thru hell and high water modding this car, and the adventure's just begun. So don't lecture me about "loving what i have."

Sheesh, some of yall are way too caught up in your self-righteous "A V6 CAN DO ANYTHING UR V8 CAN!!!!!eleven!!!!!!one!11" hype. I'm sorry you have such a vendetta against V8 drivers...but toughen up, cupcake. When someone says "there's no comparison b/t a LS1 and a L36," they aren't bashing your car; they're calling it as it is. And responding with the typical "well if u do this/that/the other, itll be just as fast as ur car is stock!!!!!" just makes you sound like a hypocrit(you're allowed to mod your car, but they can't?) and a ricer(you throw enough money at a car, it'll do anything).
