Disclaimer for those of you that aren't NASCAR fans: Yes, we know it's driving in circles. Don't bother posting.

I love living in Dayonta! Nothing like waking up and being able to hear the cars on the track all day long. Preseason testing has been going on for about a week now, and since I had the day off I figured I'd stop by and see how things are going. Got plenty of good pics and videos.

It is a blast out there. I love going out to Daytona for the races. I mainly go during practice and the smaller races, if there is such a thing. Can't stand fighting the crowds especially 250K people for the 500.

I agree. The only Cup race I've been to is the Pepsi 400 (not counting the Shootout). The crowd there was awful. I've been to quite a few Busch races and cup qualifying sessions, and the crowds were much more manageable. I'll be going to most of the events this year, but I'll watch the 500 from home.

Have you gone to the Rolex races? I love going to those especailly the 24 hour event in the infield. The other one is the Paul Revere race that takes place after the Pepsi 400 qualifying. Like you said nothing like falling asleep and waking up with race cars running.

No, I've never been to the Rolex. I live and work less than a mile away, though, so I hear it all day and night. :banana:

I'm not a superspeedway kind of guy, so Daytona doesn't do it for. Bristol is my kind of track.

i go to bristol day and night races every year. I've been to talledega, charlotte, bristol, kentucky speedway, richmond, and chicago... bristol is by far the best.

Hells ya! I've been going to Bristol night for the last 4 years.

Dude, we should meet up at Bristol in August. Where do you stay? We always stay at Red Barn Campground.

my dad lives about 45 minutes away... so we just stay there and then tailgate at the campgrounds next to the church... close to the trailers that are in the grass.
