weird printer problem

so i have an epson stylus CX5400 printer, ive had it about two years now and havent had any problems with it. i changed the black ink cartridge today and all it is doing is printing out blank sheets of paper. anyone have any ideas?

Try recalibrating your cartridge. If that doesn't work call India, err I mean tech support.

You should be able to bring up a menu for the printer on your computer. Once you do that there should be a section somewhere that states recalibrate or realign, somethnig like that. If it's not calibrated correctly it could be not printing correctly. When it trys to print is it just cycling the paper through or does it sound like it's trying to print?

it sounds like it normally does. i did the printer head alginment and cleaning. but still nothing!

Those are the only things I can think of, so call India. It's probably something simple that's the way it usually works for me at least.

Check out this link http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/s...odoid=36478881 it has a troubleshooting link. Walk through that because it talks about pages printing blank but there are a couple variables I don't know.

not to be to simple but you did take the tape off the bottom of the cartridge right?

I'm sure it was what you were talking about before but my printer, you have to select a button on the computer that you replaced the cartridge

did you try shaking it? or just push the easy button duh.

Have you tried reseating the ink cartridge?

If that doesn't work, try uninstalling your printer, then reinstalling it.
Also, make sure the cartridge has ink in it.......

If neither of those work, then I have to agree with Roger, press the EASY button. That's what they do on the commercials and it seems to work just fine.
