i got this flyer at school the other day and wondered if anyone else has ever tryed it?

They are legit. There are many of these websites out there. And you can't plagiarize if they have given up the rights to that paper like they have did in a disclaimer before being able to submit their paper to the website.

Every college kid parties one night when they should have been studying for that test or writing that essay and this is a thing made by college kids to help everyone out when they run into the same troubles.

Plagerizing is more than just using someone else's paper...it's using someone elses ideas and not giving credit to the creator. I doubt professors are going to sit idley by and let their students turn in papers they downloaded, so they'll most-likely react by saying that you all papers must have proper citation and can't get a paper from such-and-such site

...then one would make the argument that if he or she can't balance their social life with their academic life, they deserve a bad grade.

Personally, i wouldn't even think of risking my academic career over a novelty like this...honor code violations stick on your transcript forever, and basically ruin any chance of you EVER getting into another university

Plagarizing has nothing to do with who owns the rights. Plagarizing is just copying someone else's work and calling it your own. (Maybe you are thing copyright ownership?)

I wouldn't be suprised if teachers search these as well to see if people are plagarizing.

For real research papers (aka, peer-reviewed), check out google scholar and citeseer.com. Much better sources for citations and research.

Like I said.....................they give up all rights to that paper before they can even post it on the website for another person to copy so it isn't plagiarism.

When I was in college, years ago, I submitted a few essays to a website just like that.

"rights" have nothing to do with it.

transitive verb : to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own : use (another's production) without crediting the source
intransitive verb : to commit literary theft : present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source

aka copying, regardless of rights, and acting like you came up with it.

it doesn't matter if the creator wants credit for their work or not...if it's not your ideas, and you pass them off as your own and don't give credit to the creator, it's plagerism

how would u know if the info on these papers is correct? Could be "F" graded papers, and now someone else is using bunk info.

i wasnt really talking about copying an entire paper, just wondered if it was nice to have another persons idea's or something to research off of when you get a block. Im sure there will be people that think they can get away with plagiarizing a whole paper word for word. But if you have thousands of papers, thats a thousand different points of view that may help you write a very good paper of your own.

If I were you I would just go to the library. These papers cost money to get from these websites.........sometimes it can be a little pricey just for an essay, but it is great for research.

That's simply "research", like we may do on this board, or forum-not copying
