        its a human brain taken from the body of a 65 year old male. Weighs about 3lbs and is not as white because of its age. For University of Kentucky to purchase the brain... $10,000.00

        I think i could get $2,000 atleast for mine on ebay.

        The reason she held it over the bucket was that last year someone dropped it on the floor, lol

          Thats an expensive brain. I thought they were supposed to weigh 10lbs tho? guess not.

              We had sharks and rays at our school from 15 years ago.....they preserve just fine as long as you dont have them out playing with them for too long.

                they keep it full of something like flomaldahide or something like that... which smells awful

                  They use Formalin as a preservative, and yes it does stink. I'm at the Med school, and seen plenty of organs (some preserved, and some "still in action"). I'm workin in Cardio-thoracic surgery so I'll see if I can't find you a picture of a human heart on bypass. I was a neuroscience major in undergrad and the brain in that picture does look like a human brain. Not too many other animals that big or that shape. Even a cow's is very small.
