  • help!!

    tonight i was out in the shop trying to take my 18'' wheels off and put my stock ones back on.. cause all the bigger tires were going bad and splitting.. i got 2 of them off and switched and on one of the others one stud broke.. and another lug is stuck... and on the other one i cant even get the little lug cover thing to come off... any ideas on how to get these off?!

    man...i think i would just spray the rest down with oil, and start again in the am....

          i hate it when that happens...one time i got a flat on my old cutty. 3 broken studs and 1 stuck lugnut later I still had a flat

          I lubed it up, let it soak for a while, and got a lugnut wrench and put a 4ft pole on it for leverage to get it off

            well, if you dont get oil on it you'll prob. snap more off...the ones in the disk are easy to change, but the drums can be a pain to get off...good luck!!!

              don't cross thread or over tighten your lug nuts again. you could try to break the lug nut off but that will definatly scratch your wheels.

                if you have to get somewhere in the morning, put the tires back on and drive carefully with the one lug broke. i fyou still have 4 of 5, you should be ok...

                oh, and in teh future, anti seize is your friend.. itll help keep that from happening...

                  grease it up and if that dont work get out your gahdammit (persuasion) bar and break that mofo loose. you can get by with only 3 as long as they're not all next to each other honestly. my tire shop would let people leave like that but if tehy had only 2 outta 5 then they had to buy a new stud and lug or tow it home. just make sure you torque 'em down right. 100 ft/lbs is what our cars need. doesnt feel like much but thats spec.

                    i ended up pryin the lug cover off finally.. then that wheel came off fine.. and i broke off another stud on the other tire.. but could still get a lug on it.. so we tightened it up and bought more studs today... it rides so much better on stock tires... its amazing.. haha
