Re: No longer a V6 Camaro Owner

I drove a Cobalt as a rental. It was the absolute best ride for a 4 cylinder engine I've ever driven, of all makes, bar none. I was also highly impressed by the interior finishes quality.

Good luck with your new car!

[QUOTE=Chris Ault] i'll hopefully have a turbo under the hood as soon as my warrantee is about to run out. I did a stock dyno to see where I stand, and it put down a respectable (for a 2.2 Ecotec) 135 whp, and 139.5 wtq.
          [\QUOTE]

you got a 100k mile warrenty... dont wait for it to run out. i'd wait at least 15k miles and then throw the turbo on to be sure there realisitically is no factory defect. if you wait for the warrenty to die you'll wind up in the same place you were: old car with a well worn engine that you're gonna have to blow to death with only 2.2L. might as well enjoy it while everything is still shiny!
send us pics when you get up and running with the mods and PLEASE dont go to the rice side!
          good luck!

It has 970hp N/A and 356cu in, with less stroke than my v6 3.8L engine

I got the 60k warrantee, 07 was when they started 100k. I drive about 20-25k per year and planned on intake and full exhaust for this coming fall, one year from the stock dyno, to see what kind of gains the main bolt-ons provide. then the following I was hoping to have the turbo together. 60-70k give or take. L61s are pretty easy to get a hold of, and I now have garage space, so I may buy one to build up internally and put the FI on that one. Just a possibility.

I did some budy work on a friend of mine's SS S/C, it was f***ing awesome!! I figured that it woudl be just like my car, only a little faster and a stiffer ride. They are completely different cars from the base models. Tighter steering, firmer clutch, more prescise shifter, go-kart like handling (compared to my car), and it pulled harder than my friends 94 T/A. he took me out for a ride in it before I drove it myself and we were going 120 and still pulling hard. We had the windows down and the supercharger was whining louder than the Magnaflow exhaust.
