I just came across this video; Does NO2 really give you this much power? I know that was an SS but still. I was thinking about a 75 shot on my 99.

yea it gives you power, otherwise it wouldn't be called a power adder. ;)

I suggest researching since you had no idea that nitrous added power like that. No offense but if you had to ask that then you have a lot to learn before modding

it is unfortunate that even with a 75 shot, the z06 will pull away from you much as the camaro pulled away from it in that video... and you will not pull away from any stock ls1 fbody unless it's driver is too short to floor the gas pedal.

I understand the idea of a power adder. But I did not know that it could add that much power. You are right that I need to research, that’s why I am here. For those that answered my questions, thank you!

              Re: Camaro with Nitrous

I can believe it added that much power, ecspecially because a stock LS1 can handle a 150 shot. With our motors, a 75 shot is pushing it. Those LS1s respond to every mod ten times better than our v6s do .

I didn't research it, but it is a proven fact that LS1s respond to mods very, very well. 10 times may be under estimating. Heck, guys over at LS1tech.com are putting down over 350 rwhp with full bolt-ons.

then again, they started with ~300. there are plenty of v6's putting down 250ish.

...ls1's put down 300 RWhp stock...the LS1 had an underestimated 305hp so i wouldn't think they would put down 300rwhp stock

                        Re: Camaro with Nitrous

Ls1's were underrated at 300 so the WS6 and SS versions could say that the ram air added like 15hp, when really they are the same as barebone. Marketing to get people to shell out the extra $$ for the WS6 and the SS.

the camaro had a 125 wet shot. the video is super old and was originally posted on ls1 tech for download a few years ago.

Running nitrous on a car makes you feel like you're driving a whole new car...it makes a huge difference.
