what makes the GTO a well made car? What makes an f-body not a well made car? I'm just pointing out that what you say is strictly personal opinion.

I'm with Blldogg I have seen so many reviews saying that the abilitity to see whats around you in the camaro/firebirds and that the mirors are pointless, thats a joke I see better in my camaro than I do in my moms truck(windows everywhere). In order to back out of my drive way you have to turn completely around to see if anything is coming, in the camaro its a quick right/left done pull out. Its just on backing out of the drive way either its highway maneuvering too and pretty much everything else.

What the hell do you think a muscle car is? camaros and such back in the day were basically everyday car to hual around the kids and wife but had a big motor to keep the men happy

big motor + light body = muscle car
1965 mustang 289 had aprox 270 hp, and they only sold about a billion since. 380 hp gp,:tup: that'll work for me....

and i really hate that about people that buy sh!t like that for the wrong reasons like a suburban its for carrying the family and all i see is 1 person driving them all the time same for all suv's and why does it matter if camaro or firebird didnt outsell mustang or whatever? it still sells good why get rid of it? camaro/firebird had a 35 year legacy and they just throw them away like a bad habit

Unfortunatley the masses obviously agreed and hence the F-body was scratched. Actually, maybe it was a good thing. Hopefully this new Camaro will be much more like the Goat than an old F-body, then we all win :).

Heres some personal experience from a friend:

I have owned both a full suspension wbody(gtp) and a full supesnion fbody(ls1 trans am). let me tell you there is night and day difference and the wbody out handles it. However neither of them are road race cars. there is a reason people don't autocross these cars. wbody because 90% of the weight is in the front and fbody with its piss poor torque arm suspension setup. But when it comes down to it the 4 wheel independent suspension of the wbody works better. But good luck with that argument on camao v6. It seems most people on there are to immature to get into any technical debate. also one of the reason i refuse to have an account there.

Yea i was gonna bring that up. You can't compare to cars that are seperated by a decade. Not to mention the fact that the GTO is austrailian so of course its going to have better quality.
