aus gets everything good :( bastards
whatever happened to aus being a place for felons only?
now they are $$$
i know! if you look at their line up of cars they are all pretty bad ***. hsv's are sexay. HSV's are my fav. if im ever rich im importing one of them suckers
current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it
Sure. Just remember to compare them at like points in time. I guess the W-Body might have an advantage (if you wanna call it that) in that its been updated more often than the f-body of late. So that would probably skew things in its favor slightly.

Thats a good point! I would never buy a car if it couldnt go point A - point B!
I guess the pointA-pointB arguement could be broken down into people buy cars for:
1) reliability
But also people buy cars for:
2) economic
3) power
4) appearance
5) brand-name
Don't forget Utility, thats pretty big too.

Ok, lets compare a car designed in the early 90s when it was still cool to put fuel injected on the side of the car and updated at the latest in 97 to a car brought out in what, 04? good comparison.
It's funny you say that. We all know the GTO is a Monaro correct?
"By the end of the 1990s, engineers within Holden were working on a revival of the Monaro. With the celebration of Holden's 50th anniversary in full swing during 1998, the company debuted the "VT Coupe" concept at the Sydney Motor Show. Observers instantly pegged it as the next Monaro. By late 2001, it was on sale as the 2002 Monaro."
And passed off to the U.S. as the new GTO in 2003. Comparing an 02 LS1 F-body to an 04 LS1 Goat with the same drivetrain I don't think is too far fetched. Its not like it received any updates since 2001.
But anyway I get all of your points, I just wanted to point out that the comparison isn't that far fetched. :p
96greenmachine i attempted to read through this thread just to laugh at you, but i guess you win. You disguise your horribly idiotic points so well in your incredibly bad grammar with a skill unmatched by those that don't even speak a speck of english.
Oh yeah, you're a ****ing idiot. If you were GMs head manager the company would file chapter 11 immediately after hearing you were appointed. You obviously don't understand anything about consumers. You have a '96 V6 firebird for gas saving? What purpose does any car serve? To get from POINT A TO POINT B. Every single car is designed for that purpose. Point a to point b, remember that. Does this board have an ignore feature? Or maybe a gun that goes through the screen and shoots?
kiss my *** fbody3400 and i dont have bad grammar i just dont use any cuz all i care bout is gettin my point across im not doing a essay for school but i guess i see how loyal u people are to your firebirds and camaro's... not at all

im not wishing its a reality when i get pics ill be sure to show you...
Yea i was gonna bring that up. You can't compare to cars that are seperated by a decade. Not to mention the fact that the GTO is austrailian so of course its going to have better quality.
Its more like 2 year difference.
Elaborate on your Austrailian made comment. The way it reads now is, The Aussie vehicle is better by default by the sheer fact American Quality is junk. I don't think you mean it in that way, but thats what I read, lol.
Im not trying to turn this into some pissing match between the cars. I like F-bodys, always have. My bird was the best looking vehicle I've owned. But I also know damn well they weren't the best of quality. Especially mine. Mine was a mess. I just thought some people were being blinded by their pride in here not to see that. I guess the majority of consumers did see that though :-/
you can sit there and tell me with a staight face that fbodies are well made cars?
and your and idiot if u think a gto is better then a trans am cuz its not...and who cares if it dont ride good? its a muscle car with performance suspension my firebird rides good for what it is and if gto was better why was it axed?? DIDNT SELL
