Hey Greenmachine, if the Fbody's didn't sell so horribly bad, they wouldn't have canned them. It prob would have been more of a bonehead move on GM's part to keep wasting money on a car the public obviously didn't want. And when I say public, im speaking of the people out there with the money in their pockets to actually purchase one, not just say they would if they could.
no maybe ill spank a damn gp when i get my 83 up and running and show that dip**** how much a dumbass he is for having a POS car like a gp and my point about cars like that is its a freakin four door granny grunt car it dont need 380hp and it sure as hell couldnt handle goin over 100 mph through turns and sh!t i dont care how old or how many kids i got im gonna have a firebird in my driveway 1 way or another no matter what motor or how old it is...and its funny u say they didnt sell well i remember like it was yesterday back in 99-02 t/a's and camaro's were all over the place i highly doubt they didnt sell cuz even 35th t/a's were all over the place u cant tell me trans am didnt sell better then there "awesome gto" they thought was gonna be big...anyway my question now is if u want performance what would u rather have? a 380hp firebird/camaro or a 380hp gp and still get sh!tty gas mileage and alot heavier and cant exactly use the hp out of a gp??
u really have the worst grammer...and yes the ta's and camaros didnt sell that well compaired to the competators...and bashin the gp's? wtf...ur makin fun of the car that has the same motor that is in ur bird right now...o and when ever u get this "83" bird give all of us a call and let us know how it goes..cuz until u do its just a wish of urs that isnt gonna happen...sorry kid face it ur just gonna have that white wheeled bird u have now for awhile

I dont know what you have against the GTP 96greenmachine, but with a smaller pulley, intake and exhaust they are good for mid 13's without breaking a sweat. There are also countless numbers of GTP's in the 11's, our v6 fbodies have one in the 11's, just something to think about ;) The GTP's only weigh just under another 100 lbs less than a v6 body too....
And if you want handling, well fbodies are not great at that either. Your bird cant take a turn at 100 mph either.

im not comparing the gp to a v6 bird my v6 was only 800$ and that was my only car i could get after i lost my job and lost my gta which ide rather have right now u think i drive this v6 cuz i want to? no not really the main reason i got this car is its a bird and it was real cheap...and i dont "hate" gp's i just hate cars that are sedans and have high hp i think its stupid and useless nobody's gonna buy a gp cuz it has 380hp there gonna buy it for a car to get them from point a to b ide rather have a trans am if im gonna have over 350 hp
