    Inside scoop on ZZP's alum. heads.

    well when you pressure them with emails enough they are bound to crack....


    Almost done. Pre-order retail for bare heads is $1199, more info soon.

    ...i assume they will have different stages so maybe that price is for stock or nearly stock ported heads...however, if that is the final price for their full porting, then holy **** thats a hell of a deal.

      wait, does bare heads mean just the block of metal without all the valves and springs and whatnot or do they mean just the heads without any sort of package deal?

        it means block of aluminum, with no valves, no valve srpigs, etc, just ported heads.

                  Theres a thread on ftv6 that says that the zzp alum. heads will not work on the f-body unless some modifications are made. Is this still true?

                    If you would have read that thread you would have found out that they have a version for the l36 and the l67/32

                      These heads are not goign to come ported...I believe they are just an aluminum head. It is up to you to get them ported.

                        After you port them and get the springs and valves you want they will be near 3K

                          i highly doubt that. its taken them over 2 years to develop them. if they were taking the GM design and making a mold for aluminum it wouldn't have taken them more than 3 months to do all that. if you read thier site, they said they had an a pro engine builder help design it. no way they're gonna get 300 whp like they're claiming without severe design changes...

                            will they need to be ported? the aluminum heads onteh 3X00 engines are far superior teh the iron heads right fromthe factory. The improvements may be cast into the heads already.

                              yea, would've been cool if they made some reverse-flow cooling heads
                              ...maybe in the next 20 years or so?:rant:
