Question about valve covers

How do you get the oil fill tube off the valve cover. I am polishing my valve covers and it would help if I could get it off.

this is a gen tech forum question, but there is a little tang/spirng type retainer on the bottom of teh filler tube. you'll be able to see it inside of teh cover. use a screw driver to press it while rotating the tube.

Thanks, I twisted and pulled but that didn't do it. I seen the notch from the inside but wasn't sure of what to do with it.

try jiggling it when its all the way counter-clockwise
I'll go pull mine off to make sure I'm giving correct info
