ive been surfin this forum for a little while now and i decided to join (i know, thanks for the warning...).
ive got a 94 camaro, 3.4 and a whole lot of miles (169,xxx as of today) but she still runs great! ive had it for a little over a year now and so far ive done these to it:
plugs, wires, o2 sensors, tensioner and belt, cooling fan relay, cooling fan, replaced rear lca bushings with poly units, cross drilled cadium plated rotors along with good pads (dont remember what kind), replaced the entire rear axle assy with a lower mileage one, and replaced the tranny also with a lower mileage one (the one that came with the car didnt use 1st gear)
thats it for reliability/driveability. as for everything else:
ss style hood (i got it for free aside from the fact i had to do some serious repair), replaced the dash pad (what was left of the old one anyways) those pita fog light bulbs... anybody know of an easy way to do those?!... heater core (who woulda thought they were that easy in these 4th gens?) replaced the driveshaft (thinking it was making that godawful noise, turned out to be the rear axle...) and a little 2600 watt stereo.
all in all the car has been real good to me, everything works a/c and all, and for what ive got into it its been fun. i paid $2200 for the car to start and everything else has been pretty good pricewise (even the rear axle assy and the tranny, less than $300 for both in great working condition) and the car isnt too bad on gas.
i originally got it because of rising gas prices, traded in my 85 bird for the downpayment (i miss that car  ) but its been worth it.
car came with an 80 series flowmaster with those overly large tips and the strange dissapearance of those things they put on the exhaust, whaddya call em? dogs? kittens? i can never remember... needless to say the car is obnoxiously loud, but im not about to change it. its only really bad at 3k and up rpm range.
here in the next few weeks ill be polishing the oem salad shooters to a mirror shine and sooner or later ill finally get around to painting the car. staying with pretty much the same color scheme ;) im also putting an electronic shift kit in it; its in the mail, ill let you guys know if/how it works.
its been a good car and im glad ive found some enthusiasts to share ideas and woes on our poor v6s. yes i still think the car is slow (im used to 350+hp v8s still) heres a few pics ive had lying around.
