OK here is the deal. Last night I find that my battery is dead. It makes some clicks, but will not turn over. I check with the hotel but no cables. My friend is there with a rental car and will run me to WalMart for cables or battery. But we were ready for beer after a long day at work. So I told him I have AAA and I would call them. I did and they said everything was set up. I needed to call them at 6:00am and someone would be there by 7:00am. I got up at 6:00 made the call and they said some one would be there by 7:36am. I had breakfast with my friend. AAA calls me up and tells me that they are not sure when some one can be there. It may be 10:00 or later. Luckly the snow removal people show up and they have some jumper cables. My friend jumps me off and I good. Then AAA calls me back and says the Sheriff is on his way to give me a jump. I tell them not to. Besides I'm drinking a hot coco and ICE 101 "bench warmer". SO I pay for AAA each year and I have got my money out of them because of 2 different long tows, but jumps don't seem to be their thing at lest not in some small piece of **** town.

            waste of money it seems
What if you had a dead body in your car and they called the sheriff to help ya out? :) No warning or anything
You could've called the sheriff yourself if they werent gonna do what they're paid to do

That's what im talking about. 110.00 per year and you call the law on me. I could be doing something I don't care for a cop to know.

I would've been pissed for them wasting my time and making me wait without any word as to whats happening. I hate relying on others.
I would've gone psycho if they caused me to loose my job
                $110 could've gotten you 2 tows.

                  Re: *******Cold Weather

Well as far as a tow last year I lost my trany. I got a 200 mile tow for like 50.00. So that one took care of the 110.00 per year. But this point was that I called the night before. I knew that Sioux Center, Iowa would not have anybody and the next town that may have someone was LaMars that about 25 miles away. Also the front desk should keep some cables but you don't get much at a Econo Lodge.

                      I think I was wrong. I have the AAA Plus so I guess it's 72.00 not 110.00

I used AAA last time my battery died. We tried to jump it, but it wasn't getting enough juice. I only had to wait about an hour then i was off cruising

A Man about the retards. AAA called me today. They were sorry about Sunday morning. It seems the lady that took the info Saturday night did not call the tow driver to let him know. They offered me some discounts for hotels and airfare. What ever, I have about 350,000 flight miles with Northwest and who knows how many free hotel nights. I'm sure I can stay about 30 days at a Holiday Inn.

O well it good they called.
