Skateboarding

Anybody here do it? I just visited springfield MO this weekend. The partying was a blast, trust me, but they also had some amazing skate spots. Bad thing about it though was a snapped my tail on a gap, so i just picked up a new blank deck from the local skate shop. I've already cut out a stencil that i'm going to spray paint onto it, its the city scape of St. Louis with the arch. I'll take some pics when its done, but that might not be for a while cause we just started getting freezing rain about an hour ago :tdown:

So, any skaters? How long? Setup?

yeah i used to. ironic thing is i stopped once i got my camaro, since i was spending so much time driving... still follow it, still love it, just dont have the time to do it.

You can find time, trust me. I skated from about 6th grade till freshman year, then soccer and high school got in the way. I stopped until mid sophomore year and started again for a few months, then quit. I started up strong again this year though, I'm the best i've ever been right now. My friend hit a hand rail this weekend in springfield and i'm fairly sure i could of done it if my board wouldn't of broke :(

i did too for a long time. but like you soccer came along in hs. and with all my other sports i was having at least 3 practices a day plus at least 4 games a week. so i was ubber busy. i was just telling my husband that i want to get a board again. i miss my wet willy

I skated for years, got hurt a few times, sports in hs then quit. Want to start back up but $$ goes to vehicle and other good things, can't afford a deck.

i skated all through middle school, then quit in high school. i picked it up again for a couple years in college, but never had anyone my own age to skate w/ so i quit prob 3 years ago. i was pretty decent, but was constantly worried i'd get hurt so i gave it up. i can't afford to break my ankle or arm right now.

i use to skate bmx back in middle school but then football/hockey/baseball took up all my time then came the car so i just forgot about it...but when i started it was the same time the gravity games started in Providence and every1 started to jump on the band wagon...but i had a Shorty's board and Hoffman george bike

I use to. I really don't want to get hurt now so I probably won't pick it back up. I wouldn't mind getting back into long boarding though and I still snowboard and wakeboard when I get the chance.

aw man, i had a sick video of me doing some primo slides but my friend deleted it. i used to be good, but i stopped for the snow (yea, the snow that never came) and when i tried to start again i couldnt even ollie, haha.
