The local rag hee, The Sun-Sentinel, had a graphic showing how much of Florida would be underwater if the seas rise 10 feet.
Of course, even the most wild prediction shows seas rising up to 2-3 feet in a century, but that's just a pesky detail to the professional journalists.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

There is a vast body of scientific data showing that global warming is real, and that it's not a natural cycle. Some of it is here (but it's everywhere, this is not a unique report, and actually it's pretty conservative):
The problem is that it threatens to flood coastal areas where we have built hundreds of billions of dollars of stuff. And seriously disrupt agriculture. In rich countries the costs will be huge. In poor countries a lot of people are going to die of starvation.
The scientists said we couldn't stop it altogether. But we could way reduce the damage.
"The science of global warming is clear. We know enough to act now. We must act now."
James Rogers, CEO of Charlotte-based Duke Energy.
"Our nation has both an obligation and self-interest in facing head-on the serious environmental, economic and national security threat posed by global warming."
John McCain (and many other people who are neither environmentalists or liberals)
Does it matter? Probably go just like the other "wars" we have. This seems like part 3 of the series.
Episode I "The War on Drugs!!! Feat. the Fight Against AIDS"
Episode II "The War on Terror!!!"
Episode III "The War on Global Warming!!"
Bad thing about all this series is that America, and the world in general, seem to lose all these wars, and people die for no reason. I think its all inevitable anyway, might as well sit back and enjoy the time you have.

If only it were that simple. Its just ****ty that there are politicians who honestly don't care about the subject, but will publicize it and debate it just to keep/win a seat :(
