Torquer usually refers to engines that have 2 valve, pushrods and a single overhead cam.
Twister usually refers to engines that have 4 valve, 2 to 4 cam.
Torquer makes gobs of power at the low end.
Twister makes gobs of power at the high end.
You must know the feeling of both in order to place a vote.

Not to be bias or anything but I've driven a Volvo, Lexus, Honda, Mitsubishi--cars that has more HP than TQ. I've driven F-body V6, some V8, Vette, Fiero, cars that has more TQ than HP.
I can definately say I like Torquer. Twister just feels anemic to me at the bottom. Have to step on it to get it going. With the Torquer I pull away from the traffic really fast.
