just so you know you dont have pushrods and and over head cam its one or the other but im a torquer

OHV= Over Head Cam

SOHV= Single Over Head Cam

But I know what you mean though.

I'm surprise you guys didn't know Torquer or Twister term. This was used to classify a car in the 80's and 90's and today. I said this alot on HEMMING, Road and Track, Hot Rod and so on.

not trying to be an a$$ but OHV is an acranim O= over H= Head V= Valve and there is no motor curently produced with a single OHV not sure there ever was. SOHC single over head cam, DOHC daul over head cam

I'm gonna have to back up auto666 on this one: OHV= Overhead valve, the type of motor configuration we have in the 3800 and 3.4. You don't have an overhead cam in a pushrod motor.

I've never heard the terms "torquer" and "twister" but what category would, say, an LS1 fall into? It has plenty of low end power and pulls very hard on top end....

I guess I'll say torquer.

i drive a v6 camaro and i've ridden in my friends '95 3000gt.
and that thing pulls like a mofo in 3rd, where my engine pretty much falls flat. i agree that dohc is the future.
