if youre not going to win, sliding across the finish line on your roof while on fire is a pretty good way to finish things off.

              Re: Daytona Tomorrow

Who saw that finish happening in this life time? Mark was going to win and then at the end he needed to change his depends and let off the gas a little to pull them away from his crotch and that is why he lost.

Which one? Both were pretty awesome.......and whoever mentioned the second one where the guy slid on his roof across the finish line......yes that is the way to go out if you aren't going to finish the race.

what was awesome about that was not only did he finish the rae upside down but he ended up landing on his wheels when he stopped sliding......just casually gets out and starts to take off his gloves lol

Looks like he had alot of help from Kenseth with the way that back bumper looks. LOL.

                          Re: Daytona Tomorrow

I have been a Mark Martin fan since '88, when he joined with Roush. I have watched him be competitive his whole career. When I was still watching NASCAR religiously, especially in '98, it was great to watch because Martin is so competitive. I remember '98, Gordon HAD to win 13 races, because if he didn't Martin was right on his tail the whole season. Hell, my AIM screename is MM6mogob, for Mark Martin 6.

You have no idea how depressing and maddening it was to watch that this last Sunday. Harvick did a good job, lifting the air for just a little bit in turn 4 to get Martin just a little bit crooked, and thats what shot Harvick around. But for a man who is 48 years old, with 5 kids, a pilots license, who OWNS an actual race track, AND who is semi-retired running only 22 races this year with a team that would be considered to be not quite tier 1 competitve, he did DAMN well.

Its all ok though, no one can question the success of Mark Martin, and just wait a few more years, when Matt gets into the Busch series, it will be sick. His son is 100x better than him, he will have some championships.

Awesome pics Rob! I love the rear bumper shot.

As much as I wanted Mark to win, Harvick had the run, the better car, and a lot of help (via Kenseth). I was happy to see Mark get second though - he had a huge smile on his face.

but just picture how much bigger Mark's smile would have been to finally win the "500"...ya harvick had a ton of help up his with kenseth....1 race down and maybe more sundays to come

Thanks, the back has a bunch of signatures from the crew on it now. Those were taken right after we loaded it in. I'm one of the smaller guys here and had to do the steering. That's one tight seat. If you want more pics let me know, our shop is about 10 ft from there.
