So I was trying to figure out if my oil level sensor was starting to crap out and I happen to look around my car after I'm done to see this:
A fellow f-body owner must've had one lugnut cap mismatch...so he/she took the liberty to take one of my light silver caps and replace it with his/her dark silver one. Now the mismatch has been passed down to me. I know that this was not on my car before, because I checked the dark cap and I could loosen it by hand. All the other caps on my car are tightened so that they can't be loosened by hand. Oh well... I guess I'm lucky that whoever did this at least left me with a silver cap and not a black one or no cap at all...
I mean...these caps don't cost that much. Why take just one of mine? I'll eventually buy a few spare ones in the future, in case this happens again, but it's ok for now. It's just a darker shade of silver that most people won't notice anyways. I only saw it cause I actually own the car and can pick out some of the finer differences. At first, I thought it was just dirty, but when I proceeded to try to rub it, I knew it was replaced. Plus the whole hand loosening thing gave it away. But still... some cheap fellow f-body owner out there...

forgive me for laughing but this reminds me of when people use to steal the centercaps off of the wheels of the 3rd gen Camaros. You'd come out to your car.. and bam! missing one centercap.
