I noticed off the line the 4 cylinder MOVES. (Must be the gearing). But you need to floor the pedal to get decent pickup in mid range/high end.

they ( GS ) come with 4.31's which is a pretty low gear yea.

Thanks for that info! 4.31's wow! I guess the markup was high because a couple of them had extra options like a sunroof and/or leather. They were pushing a silver one or an orange sunset one on me. Sticker was like $23,000 something though and that's a bit high for a commuter/beater car... especially only a 4 cyl.

well my sister got the sunroof/sound system up grade.. also power everything ...and it is the se and i think she paid somewhere aroudn 24000 or somethign fully loaded .. with a trade in on her cavilear

This is my next choice. :) Haven't driven one yet though. As for the Civic, I've looked at them and they are nice. Only thing is, where I work, the Hondas get stolen and broken into a lot so that's swayed me from leaning towards a Civic.

The pontiac will be the same as the cobalt...just appearance differences right?

Well, I would've liked that UV blue color (in the first post) but it's sold. I'm going to look at 2 today: another UV blue and the Sunset Pearl Orange color. I love the what they say about the stereo system in the brochure: "Dial up the subwoofer's PUNCH from mild... to mild earthquake." :cool:

Yes. The interior is MUCH nicer though and I like the exterior more also. The headlights and taillights blend more with the body.

I dont know how andy F-Body owner could move to eclipse? Its small, I trided it and have a hard time with my legs and clutch. interior looks nice on the pictures and looks like cheap plastic inside . Seats are nice. I coudnt fit in rear.. How would you tune it?
G6 looks much better option for me.
Ill wait for G8 as my family car :)

Not a fan of how the eclipses look. But..... I seen one with the factory body kit, and it was night and day. It looked awesome and I now want a convertible with the kit, lol.

Anyway, I second the G5. The GT's look pretty cool.

By the way, I do think 23,400 is too much for a GS. Unless that thing was loaded to the teeth. I think you saw my post in other rides about the Legacy I bought. I got every option but the navigation and the turbo, (for gas mileage cause of my long commute but now im kickin myself in the @ss for not getting it :(). I paid less then 23,000 for that, '07, and its AWD. Just for your comparison...

I'm 5'7" so it's the right size for me. The interior is VERY well laid out and didn't appear cheap at all. In fact, it's one of the nicest I've seen. Especially with the blue backlighting. Options and safety equipment are impressive. As for tuning... there won't be much, if any. It's a 4cyl. I looked at another UV blue one tonight, an 06' with 21,000 miles. It was SWEET. What a BEAUTIFUL color! They want $18,900 for it. I'm going back tomorrow to test drive it and if I like it, the bargaining will begin. It has a sunroof, fully loaded and it looks like it may have been modded a little (which might be a good thing). It has a 4" or 5" fart pipe out back and painted calipers. It was raining, so I didn't look under the hood or drive it. I'm hoping that if it was modded a little, it'll have some extra power to it. Will keep everyone updated tomorrow. :)

BTW, Jus, that's a good deal for a brand new all-wheel drive Legacy. :tup:

All it takes is patience. Unfortunatley if you need something right away, you lose that advantage.
