+2 on that! If you have a body kit/stock RS package dont even bother posting there. They are pretty much assh0les all the time. The guy who owns LS1tech is probably the biggest one of them all. We got into it a couple of times, so I came here. There are better people on here! Just use those places for info.

lol..I noticed that..and I dont know why nobody over there like body kits...but halos are GOD!!...but whatever I only post in the cts-v section over there..even that doesn't have alot of traffic. Everybody talk sh*t on forums...just deal with it, or stalk them and beat the hell out of em and post the video of it :)

a newb joins the fv6/cv6.com message board, he drives a CRX and wants to ask questions like its a honda forum....

Who, NineBall? He's an awesome dude, he's done great things for the site and f-body enthusiasts. Look at how many BADASS cars he owns, and has owned. Do you really think he'd be interested in a V6 Fbody whatsoever?

who cares how many cars hes owned or owns...does that make him better than a v6 owner??? hell no...a fbody is a fbody no matter what u have under the hood...v8 fbodies r known for makin more power but most v6 fbodies look better....imo if u cant respect another fbody owner ur a douche

Well he has done alot for the LSX community, but if you are gonig to run a site as big as his, you should be openminded to peoples taste. I have seen, numerous times, him give people sh!t for not sharing the same taste as his own. Everyone has opinions, but he should set a better example and maybe the amount of d!cks on there would decrease.

Easy guys... remember, this place was created so V6ers had a place of their own. But going over there and making a blantant post like that, is just painting a target on the forehead.

Keep the V6 stuff here... let the V8 boys play there, the LS1 tweakers have LS1tech, etc. Get the idea?

We shouldn't be making fun of anyone. We're no better than those guys posting. So just like your mother told you.. "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it". That means TYPING it too!

Here is a better perspective for some of you:

When you get older you start to care more about the car's build quality, interior, driveability, etc. Most V8 owners care most about how fast their car is, then how it looks, and build quality and such last. You start to realize how poor quality the F-body is, in comparison to a lot of other modern cars. So a v6 Camaro to a lot of those people is all of the bad, minus a badass engine, and you're pretty much stuck with the looks, even though the top models still look more aggressive than the base models. Essentially to them, a V6 Fbody is a watered down in appearance slow rattling boat on wheels. This is where a lot of negativity comes from on the other boards.

Around here, where I'm sure the average age of active members is somewhere around or between 16-19, younger F-body owners don't care so much about build quality, interior etc. I used to be the same way. I love the look of the F-body, but if I didn't have a modified LS1 under the hood and a 6 speed to row through the gears, I wouldn't have a Camaro anymore.

I mean look at some of our dedicated, older established members. Shirl, James, Teal...do any of them daily drive their F-bodies? No, James drives a MB, Shirl is looking at other makes and I don't know what Teal drives, but who cares he's a weirdo with a bike.

and u do relize all of what ur sayin is ur opinion right?...i could care less to what they think about a v6 fbody but for them to rag on us if just stupid...how can any of them make fun of it? half of them have def started out in 1...that whole thread that started this discussion is the reason y i do not post much over there and stick to the v6 boards...they just dont care

I guess you are completely forgetting the fact that most older people that have decent daily drivers have NEWER daily drivers as well. Now that we have established that fact, you must also remember that they haven't made any fbodies in almost 5 years. Yes, it is true that the more sought after fbodies are the V8's, but to say the V6's are worthless, I wouldnt say that. You also can't put a 3.4l in the same group as a 3.8l, the 60 degree is an engine that has been around for almost 20 years, and has been overbored from the 2.8l's. And then you want to go on about quality. Well, for the price of a V6 Camaro or Firebird in the ....idk '97 year, I think the quality is pretty good compared to cars of a similar price range.

BTW, I am one of the older established members of this board, I came over with several people from cz28.com BECAUSE of such posts. Not all of the established members have given up and gotten rid of their car, or stopped driving it, like James, Shirl, and Steve (Tealv6). There are MANY members on this board that still drive their Fbodies on a daily basis, have racked up many miles on those fbodies, and have had very little problems. Like most LS1 drivers, you have underestimated the power that can be made from a 3800 Series II or III engine, and the reliability of those engines. This street kinda goes two ways, you want all out speed, get an LS1, you want a strong reliable engine, get a 3800 Series II. If I was worried completely about quality, there would be a '08 Cadillac DTS in my parking lot.

The whole point I am trying to make is, and it is a point I have tried to express since I came to this board almost 6 years ago, that not everyone wants a V8. Some of us wanted a nice looking, QUALITY car, for an inexpensive price and good gas mileage. And then there are some of us that wanted a V6 fbody to prove to the V8 crowd that their s**t stinks just like ours, and we go out and beat them on the track.
