  • hey guys...

just thought I'd apologize and say that I had no need to exploit my story the other day, I am in no ways proud of what I did BTW, and that I was just feeling really down that I have to sell my baby and all my parts I've been gathering :(

My car was an escape from the world for me, and sadly one of my friends in a time when friends are scarce in my life. But things are getting better in my life, I've grown up, found Christ, got to see who were my true friends, and learned a valueable lesson that I will ALWAYS remember for the rest of my life

Just wanted to get that out there :)

      Re: hey guys...

i know this is a touchy subject (one of my threads got deleted on this) but....
when my ex cheated on me i was pissed needless to say but i come to some realizations. You live life once. you gotta try to be the best person you can be but sometimes you screw up. i forgave her. wont take her back but i forgave her. screwing up is part of being young and thats a fact. part of GROWING UP tho is realizing why you screwed up and not doing it again. you gotta pay some consequences to right your wrong but you, in essence, are paying for a lesson in life.
you manned up and fessed up. thats VERY respectable. you might be hurtin for a while, but at least you'll come out a better person for it. i know i'd never fault someone for screwing up as long as they came clean and honestly regretted it and wanted to make things right. Its so easy to just let it go and never tell anyone but to stand up and admit you're wrong, and prepare yourself to right that wrong... that take a man... not a boy.
dont beat yourself up for it. if your always looking back, you're not looking forward. its like driving. you always gotta be lookin ahead of you first, and worry about your back second. just suck it up for these few years (it;ll suck, i know) and it'll be over with before you know it, and you can live the rest of your life with the lesson you learned, and you might find that you'll get yourself out of enough trouble that the price you'll pay will be well worth it in the situations you stay away from as a result of your new maturity and clear headedness.
Good luck to you in the future, have faith in God. He's always watching and He does things for reasons that may take your whole life to figure out but He's looking out for you. To quote Harold and Kumar (funny movie but serious quote) "In the end, the universe unfolds as it should".

          Re: hey guys...

3.4's go $2,500 - $3,000 from what I've seen, not sure about 3.8's...I haven't really looked into it tho

Not sure about the rest...I was thinking about listing it high...no 'rush' to sell it, I have a good year to sell it, so I can wait...I was thinking slapping $4,700 on it...it looks a lot better in person

anyone have experience with selling on ebay?

            Re: hey guys...

i have a buying experience and i was pissed. Never anywhere in the auction did they say ABS is out. So i go to pick up the car. Hand them the money talk for about 5 minutes then they both scamper back to the apartment building i hop in the car and the ABS light pops on. But i just left because i was nice. I cotenplated a lawsuit but i said f it. So needless to say ABS is still on. Just had to get that off my back. it does relate to ebay so.. I say list it in your local paper...you have a better chance and finding someone local that will pay more. list it for 5k:)

you may want to clean up that engine bay a bit if you want to attract buyers

My friend wants to buy it...I was thinking $4,250

and he will throw in a 80's Chevy 350 that needs gaskets and a couple other parts and comes w/ a Crane Cam & Lifters, Edelbrock Intake and Carb and some Hedman Headers that will fit a S10...I could prob part that engine out for another $400 bucks...sounds like a good deal to me

I gotta totally disagree with you there. Some things that happen are just wrong, and you can't say that it's God's will, because lots of them aren't. Innocent civillians getting run over by a drunk driver, stuff like that's not sposed to unfold. Bad things happen to good people. Why? who knows...jsut does at times. But you are right, gotta trust in Him, and don't make the same mistakes twice.

First, I wouldn't pay any more than $4k for it looking like that. Detail that SOB before you show it to anyone. Take those mats out, run them through the washer, and bust out the Armor-All and a scrub brush. As far as the paint goes, wash it then go get some polish and go to town. You won't be able to do the job a machine buffer or professional can do, but it will look a lot better.

                            Dude...I must've missed something.

I trust in myself to learn from my mistakes. Bad things do happen to good people (I know from personal experience.) However, sometimes bad things happen to good people BECAUSE they're good people. Sometimes good people get taken advantage of because of their good qualities, in other words. Again, I know from personal experience.

Good people also do bad things: what they do and how they feel afterwards really reflects on who they are.

yeah... believe me. i know. i've gotten screwed over many times for being a good guy and not a ****. but you know what, nobody ever said the road was easy. Christ himself said the road would be narrow and rocky... but the rewards are great for those willing to travel.
fact is, yes. bad things do happen to good people. no 17 year old should be killed by a drunk driver (happened in my hometown a while ago) but it happens. Why it happens? who knows. But i always try to make the best of things... see the silver lining in every cloud. Ok, so she might've been killed by a drunk driver, but then again, maybe it saved her from being paralyzed for the rest of her life. I guess the way i get thru this crazy time we call life is to always know that things could be worse and just thank God every day that they aren't.
