I work with the ARC of San Antonio, which is child care for dissabled children and teens. Well yesterday at the start of work 3 out of the 5 that work there decided to quit and left me and another coworker by ourselves and we get between 10 and 20 kids a day. The reason they left was some stupid bs that they have been complaining about, like not getting paid enough and that they were not being listened to. Thankfully someone did come in to help. I am just really mad that they would do something like that. So if anyone in San Antonio, Texas is looking for part time work and dont mind working with kids give them a call at 210 490-4300 or their website at www.arc-sa.org. I just needed to vent so sorry for the rant.

Re: Work troubles
a bit off topic, byt my wife works with menatlly disabled kids, and I honestly don't know how she does it. I mean, she has great patience to help them and do the best she can with them, but I do not think I'd be able to do it. I don't want to sound cruel, but I just don't think I'd be able to deal with juveniles like that.
My hat goes off to you bro! Even though there are some j-off's in this world, you'll be rewarded somehow, someday.

Re: Work troubles
That sucks they did that. I work with kindergarteners up to 5th graders and they are a PITA but it's a great job. I wouldn't trade the experience I've had or will receive for anything (well, a Z06 isn't on the table)
What kind of child/adult ratio do you have to keep with disabled children?
Here in Oklahoma for regular kids ages kindergarten through (I think 5th grade) the ratio has to be at least as low as 20 to 1 in a daycare.-Eric
2002 Navy Blue Camaro...Striped and Stalled. 35th Anniversary SS wheels
Best ET: 15.384 @ 88.32 on street tires
Project Whitney: Goal, 14.0 1/4 by summer 2008.

Re: Work troubles
Thanks everyone who has responded. Today at work things got really busy but we managed to get everything done. The ARC of San Antonio takes in clinets from the age of 4 to as old as 22. At my site I think that the oldest is 18. I agree with what everyone has said that what comes around goes around. I just also what to add that this job has been one of the more rewarding jobs that I have had. Later
