I think I will be coming back soon! For those who don't know... I had a camaro that got totaled (minor damage, but enough to be totaled) and was thinking of going off on a different path with a Lancer or Wrx. Anyway. I come home today and my mom and dad are like, so...seeing as we bought your sister a car a while ago, we were thinking of giving you your dads car. I'm so pumped. Its a 1997 chameleon green firebird with about 70-80,000 miles on it. I dont know too much about it right now because i never put time in thinking i was going to get it. It does have the monsoon 6 speaker system and some nice rims. So, if i dont get that, there is a v8 trans am for sale in the area for $4000 but its got a lot of miles. k, ill shut up. wish me luck.

Don't you love how parents work? "Well since we bought your sister a 13,000 dollar bug you can buy your own car."
At least you're getting a hand me down.

Re: Great News!
While my folks never gave me a car....years ago my dad cut me one helluva sweet deal on a V8 Monza, $400 bux. I kept it and raised hell in it for about 5 or 6 yrs, then sold it for something more reliable and better on gas. To this day I still miss that little car. Now if I can just get me a Trans Am and get rid of the V6 Bird, I'd be as happy as I was then.

Come on down to Picayune. They have a 1988 Camaro RS for 3k. On the for sale sign it says, "lots of race parts included". the only thing that has stopped me from getting it is the fact that the odometer reads around 216,000.
I would love to have a trans am though, but in a month or so that dream will die when I have my 07 Solstice GXP sitting in the driveway. :)

I'm getting it almost fully loaded and I think it's only going to be right under 30k.
Edit: I don't care about the cost, I want the turbo and the sexy looks of that car.

Re: Great News!
I had to buy my own car. My first car was a 89 S-10 Blazer. Got a really sweet deal on it. My dad's 2nd-uncle's daughter owned it (I think, I'm all confused with relative stuff), and sold it to me. It needed some work, but it ran. The engine in it was good, 2.8 V6 at 173K on it. Thing ran like a top, and I beat the hell out of it (I know, it was a puny engine, but I pushed it to it's limits :D ). Anyways, I paid a whole $1 for the thing. I like having connections with people :D For my upcoming b-day all I got was money, and I went and fixed it up. It looked a hell of alot better than before. We just bought my brother a new car this week-end. A 84 (I think) Camaro. Has the same 2.8 in it, so we know it's going to last. Paid $100 for it, and it runs. Engine has only 50K on it. Needs some body work, but for the price, you can't go wrong.~97 3.8L V6 Camaro~

The reason was he was paying for it. =\ Then traded it in for a exploder for him. **** face..
