As already stated i have 6 grand n want to put it all in my car.All that i have at this point is an american thunder cat back.Im seriously lookin at a supercharger n will prolly buy used so i have more money for other mods.My car is a 98 firebird nothin much to her.Just wanted to know what u guys thought would be the best things to get for it.N i already read the mod list wanted personal opinions. thanks for ne help

buy the powerdyne kit in the for sale section from "Just Another V6", gears/lsd/ maybe some heads/cam/intakes from abbotts racing. For the supercharger kit and abbott package that is like 4k total before installation prices if you need everything installed at a shopComment

sell the v6 and use whatever you can get for it + the $6k to get yourself into an LS1 fbody. you would not regret it.
$6k into your v6 sounds like it could easily turn into a $6k headache...Comment

More importantly, Save it. I know your 17 but trust me, save it. You old enough to recognize good advice and hopefully old enough to understand how saving that kind of money will make your life so much easier.Comment

Regardless, I'd probably spend it on the car too, but that's because I have very little self control.
BLLDOGG gave some good advice, it wouldn't be unwise to take it. You guys telling him to spend it now are part of the reason no one saves anything and charges it to plastic. He will have to start thinking about that in a couple of years too. Plenty of college (age) people get into a ton of credit card debt.
If I'm having to pay 30% interest on my credit card because I spent my money on a car, how does that make me better off? He could save that money and buy something a lot nicer down the line. An LS1 is too much engine for any 17 yr old kid anyway. Have fun with your V6 for awhile, do a few things to it.
