2 tickets in 2 days, no luck for the irish on st. patties day..

i drove up to san diego for spring beak for the weekend, i live in az. and on the way up there i get a speeding ticket, wich i deserved. (97 in a 75) wich i think i was really going faster. But on the way back from cali i was following my friend going 68 in a 75 and a cop pulled me over for FOLLOWING TO CLOSE! i can deal with the speeding ticket cause i deserved that, but who gives a ticket for follwing to close? its not like i was even following him that close either.

and my court dates are in 2 different states. the speeding ticket is in yuma like 3 hours from my house, and the other is in cali like 4 hours from my house, hopefully i can get the locations changed. wish me luck

Even though they are in two different states, I say fight both of them. What do you have to lose? Sometimes, a judge recognizes the fact that you drove a far distance to fight the ticket(s), and they will normally downgrade the citation to a lesser charge. Points on your license will make your insurance skyrocket!

I'd like to see if and how the officer can prove the fact that you were following too closely, unless there are camera's installed on the dashboards to do the proving for him/her.

just fight them. you will still have to pay them, but you shouldn't get any points

Just take the 4.5 hour driving class, and there is no record in AZ.

I say go to court and fight the tickets....maybe youll get lucky and the cop wont show up for court, in which case the tickets will be thrown out.

i fight all my tickets and so far i have had a 85% success rate on them all..the only one's i have never been able to beat are the fallowing to close.. .. just dont forget the law says you have to be 3 seconds behind the next car.... so as long as you say that its all your word aginst theres.. and in that case tie goes to the runner... say " i was at least 3 seconds behind him" and you should be good.. i did not know what the law was thats why i lost to that one.

3 seconds if you dont know what that means is,,, were if you are driving the car ahead of you passes a object it must take you 3 seconds to pass that same object :) good luck bro.

p.s this only works in states other then arizona.. the cops HAVE TO SHOW. trust me i asked. it is 100% required
