Yeah I know I know, but I thought it'd have some kind of "pep" to make up for it. Im just not all that keen on having to rev the absolute piss out of something to get it to move.

As for insurance.. yep, it'll go up because your getting a newer car. Mine went up $300 and that was after I dropped full coverage for "liability only" on the 96' Camaro.
They start at 14-15,000. One thats loaded with every option looks like they are running 24,000 MSRP. Of course, I wouldn't pay MSRP, but it might be tough to get that number down a lot seeing as they have no problems selling these 3's. And yep, 156 HP.

The Eclipse wouldn't be newer. My Legacy is an 07. It's just going from sedan to sports car that I expect to see the jump in insurance.

Of the two choices you listed I would go with the Honda Civic Si, because personally I like Honda motors. The Cobalt SS was somewhat fun to drive but still is lacking in comparison to a Civic Si; handling is ok in an autocross environment but still needing some improvement to be up to Civic Si level (LSD is optional not standard like on the Civic Si), interior is "ok", and the motor note just can't compare with a honda motor at full song.
Lol, I like how this guy thinks... 'Cept I beat you to the punch. I already have an 05 goat. :p

I liked everything about the civic, but I don't know if I could deal with that lack of torque... Besides, insurance I think is skyrocket on them little sh*ts due to the demographic that drives them. I still want to check out a Cobalt just for sh*ts and giggles.

As for the the insurance stuff you pretty much just have to get a qoute. My insurance for the 2007 Legacy GT was $5.30 a year higher then my 1997 Firebird. Ain't that a *****...
