Seriously looking into gettin one of these cars...1983 Oldsmobile Delta 88, 307 th350 Auto, Interior in EXCELLENT shape, runs excellent, paint is fair, minimal rust....asking $600 (but I can work him down)

    -or-

1989 Pontiac Firebird w/ 2.8 V6 w/ Manual Trans, drives fine but has front end damage, needs a front clip....$400

How much would a front bumper, hood and fenders run me??? I don't think local junkyards have anything for me (last time i was there, no fbody's :()

Well seeing how Oldsmobile is no more, and Pontiac is still around, I say go for the Firebird. No matter how long it is, youll always be able to find parts for the Firebird.

depends on what you're loking for in the car. I had an 87 regal w/teh enemic 307, while it may run forever, teh 2.8 w/stick would be more fun.

Well, as you know both of those engines are slugs. I would go with the Oldsmobile just because it does not need the body work like you said the Firebird does.

I'm still waiting on pics for the firebird...I've owned a 84 delta, great rock solid car...but I kind of would like to have an Fbody still...

are 2.8's good engines? 3.4 slow, didn't you have a 2.8 in your car at one time?

there would be no $$$/knowledge for a engine swap lol

although maybe years in the future I can get a 350 for cheap (my friends) that needs to be rebuilt

anyone kno how much a new front clip will run me?
