Whats with the clock?

I live in Maryland, east coast. So under my profile I tell it that i am on eastern time. However, when i look at the time on the forum page, it is an hour behind. I think, ok, daylight savings just messed it up and I can just tell it I'm on atlantic time (1 hour ahead) and it should be fine. right?

Wrong. Instead, when i tell it that I'm on atlantic it tells me that the time is one hour ahead of the actual time. Whats going on? Did the eastern time clock not get set?

Actual Eastern Time: 2:00PM
Forum Eastern Time: 1:00PM
Forum Atlantic Time: 3:00PM (Supposed to be 1 hour ahead of eastern)

Am I just an idiot or is something wrong here?

Eh, welcome to the club. I've been telling the stupid thing i'm on Pacific time for a year and it still thinks i'm at the prime meridian.
