Just thought I'd ask what you have all done to your birds and maro's.
Just post when ya got it, maybe a bit about it, and what ya done to it...


Well, I got my 97' Black Firebird as my first car in October '06. So not too long ago. I saved for a while and bought the car myself, which is a big factor in why i take care of it so much.

I wash it every weekend, and wax it whenever it calls for. Every time I wash my car, that also includes taking the vacuum to the interior and armor-all.

Since I got the car I've done the following maintenance/add-ons w/ a estimate of what I had to spend...
Drive side window motor - brand new - 30 dollars
oil changes (oil, filter) DUHHH!!! - 15 bucks each time
6 Brand New Spark Plugs - 15 bucks
new coils - free
New Spark Plug Wires(new) - 30 dollars
Alpine Deck (used) - 30 dollars
amp + (2) 12" Subs (barely used) - 80 dollars
brake pads and shoes all around (new- duhh) - 60 dollars
4 brand new tires 245/50 - 300 dollars (mounted and balanced)
cherry bomb muffler (brand new) - free
limo tint all around - 130 dollars
new tensioner/idler pully - 30 bucks for both
serpentine belt - 18 dollars
new air filter - 8 bucks
painted calipers - free

as you can tell, a lot is just basic maintenance...
and in the next two weeks ill have a few more things on my list...
such as;

flowmaster 80 series muffler - 80 dollars (sittin in my garage)
flush radiator
sea-foam engine
and this week im replacing my ac compressor which i already bought along with a accumulator and new orphus tube for 200 dollars :naughty:

......

theres probly a bunch more stuff, but its been a long day and im tired and im sure im forgetting some stuff, but ya get the idea.
but as you can also see i got a lot of great deals due to my school i attend. i love going to a tech school and getting parts for 1/2 price.

This is right off of my Cardomain and Fquick garages, but oh well here it is anyway.

Here is what was either broken, missing or needed fixed when I bought it:

-Whole passenger side cracking/peeling paint
-CD player didnt work
-Wrecked front end
-Keyless entry/alarm didnt work

Those are my best times at Kanawha Valley Dragway, where WS6's run high 8's.
Old G-Tech times (yeah, I know....I know) put me at 15.18 @ 91.9 mph. Times were backed up at Clay City Kentucky, where I ran a 15.18 @ 92.7mph through the 1/4.
Solo II AutoCross: I placed 2nd in ESP with a time of 1:05.621, placing behind a Z28 that ran a 1:04.540. I placed 2nd again in August, though the results were never posted online.
